¡Buen día!
I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself as I hope to collaborate with you in the future.
My name is Diego Murcia and I am a journalist, writer, translator, and transcreator. I have a degree in Social Communication and an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Texas at El Paso.
As an undergraduate, I started my career in journalism as an intern, and after many years trying to get my own path into different experiences, I won an award for Environmental Journalism, on a story about seawater contamination in the shore of the country El Salvador, my birthplace. After I graduating, I have worked in different positions related to language teaching, translation. I have also worked in story writing for print and online media outlets. Some of my clients include UTEP, El Paso Museum of History, Culture Span Marketing, the Rio Grande Rift Magazine, and El Diario de El Paso. Also, I have worked for another dozen private individuals, public and private entities.
Since I became a reporter, back in 2001, I´ve received compliments on my writing and editing skills from colleagues and senior management. Now, I would like to share all this knowledge with you. So, imagine having almost 20 years of experience for free at the tip of your fingers. What do you have to do? Just listen to my podcast “Secreto a voces”, like, share, comment, and talk to me about your communications need.
Next, my latest episodes.
Un abrazo,
Diego.
