Transcription services basically involve the conversion of an audio file to a text file. This means that the texts originated from these files may or may not have grammatical, linguistic, or verbal coherence. If you want to have a text with these characteristics, you as a client must request these services in advance. This implies an extra charge since it is a post-transcription editing work.
The price structure of Bitextuales transcriptions is direct and simple. It is based on a $1 (US) per minute of audio price, which varies according to the complexity of audio file content. If the transcript must be translated in to or from another language, a cost will be added to the final price.
Another element that adds price to your transcription is the quality of the audio. If the file contains background noises that make it difficult to hear the content of the transcript, this reduces the speed of the text writing. The fact that also the people who speak in the audio do not possess a good vocalization affects the level of difficulty to transcribe their content. If we face any of these two situations in your files, before starting the work, we will evaluate the quality of the audio and present the client with a new budget on transcription work that will be carried out.
Take into consideration that each minute of transcription is equivalent to 10 minutes of writing so that the text presented be totally faithful to the spoken word in the audios. Thus, six minutes of an audio is equivalent to one hour of work. This means that, as part of our service, Bitextuales is committed to delivering a text without spelling or punctuation errors. This means that our transcription can be used by the client in his documents as soon as the completed project is delivered.
Since our goal is to develop long-term relationships with our customers, there are discounts for large volumes and incentives are offered to repeat customers. We can work in a fair price.
Delivery times
Depending on the duration of the audios, Bitextuales will estimate the time it will take to perform the transcriptions. These delivery times may be hours, days or weeks of duration, by prior agreement. If the client needs urgent delivery of their audios, this will imply an extra charge in the processing of the transcriptions, added to the extra cost of the background noise and vocalization previously mentioned.
Requirements
To obtain the highest quality transcription of the audios, the client must provide an audio in mp3 format. If you wish to establish a defined time range for transcribing, you must indicate the name of the file and the stamp of the exact time to be converted into text. For example: if you send an audio with the name of transcription.mp3, and you only want to transcribe 10 minutes of the half hour of duration that this audio has, you will have to create a table where you will have to set the minutes you need to be transcribed:
/Transcription.mp3/ from minute 12:31 to minute 22:31.
If the audios are not very heavy, they can be sent via email at dmurcia@bitextuales.com.
Sending files
The client can send their audio files through Google Drive, wetransfer.com, Dropbox, or Mega, which are services that are used to share documents for free throughout the internet. These applications have the capacity to transfer files that weigh between two and five gigabytes.
Ways to pay
Once an agreement has been reached between the client and Bitextuales, the payment structure will be the following: at the beginning of the project, 50% of the total agreed will be collected and or charged. The rest of the outstanding bill must be paid at the end of the transcript. The client can pay in cash or through PayPal or Venmo. When the reception of the initial payment is confirmed, the transcription work will be completed. The same will happen with the delivery of the final work.
